<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer replenishing vessel of high quality and high reliability, which is free from toner scattering and has stable rotation performance and is capable of surely replenishing a developer to the side of a developing device in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developer storage vessel has the developer to be replenished to an image forming apparatus, stored therein and consists of an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder, and the inner cylinder has the developer stored therein and has an aperture for discharging the developer provided in a circumferential surface thereof and has an elastic seal member provided in the circumferential edge part of the aperture and has a drive reception part for receiving drive from the image forming apparatus, provided in an end part thereof, and the outer cylinder is supported freely rotatably in relative to the inner cylinder and has an aperture for discharging the developer provided in a circumferential surface thereof, and the inner cylinder is rotated in one direction by drive from the image forming apparatus and is so constituted that the developer is discharged in response to connection to the aperture of the outer cylinder. An inner peripheral part of the outer cylinder and an outer circumferential part of the inner cylinder are provided with engagement parts which are engaged by rotation in a direction opposite to that for discharging the developer and are disengaged by rotation in the same direction as that for discharging the developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
