<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent member that enables incident light to be diffused in all directions so as to eliminate dark areas, enables the use of the otherwise dark areas, is reduced in size, and increaseded in brightness for effective use of light. <P>SOLUTION: In the translucent member having a translucent member body 3A having a light exit surface 6, a light incident surface 2, and a side face which has a reflecting part in at least a portion thereof to cause the light incident from the light incident surface 2 to be reflected therein and which crosses the light incident surface 2 on a plane, a plurality of hemispherical protrusions 12 protruding from the side face are formed on the reflecting part as light diffusing means for three-dimensionally diffusing the incident light toward the inside of the translucent member body 3A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
