<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device equipped with a plurality of light emitting units in tandem, which can be driven by low voltage with high electric power efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device is equipped with a plurality of light emitting units 5 and a plurality of light emitting units 11 which are arranged in tandem between an anode 2 and a cathode 18. A charge inversion layer 8 which has an inorganic semiconductor pn junction consisting of an n-type semiconductor layer 6 arranged on an anode 2 side and a p-type semiconductor layer 7 arranged on a cathode 18 side, is disposed between the light emitting units 5 and the light emitting units 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
