<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical touch panel integrated type image display apparatus in which crosstalk with a display image is not occurred. <P>SOLUTION: The image display apparatus is provided with a plurality of pixels 2 having display luminance modulation means to be controlled by display signals, a display part 1 on which these pixels 2 are arrayed and a plurality of photodetecting elements 3 included in the display part 1. Each photodetecting element 3 comprises a photodetecting diode for converting incident light into signal charge, a signal charge reset means for resetting the signal charge and an output impedance modulation means for detecting the signal charge and modulating output impedance.
