<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the entry of oxygen or water into an organic EL layer of an organic EL device by sticking a protection board on an substrate on which an organic EL element is formed with a hardening resin. <P>SOLUTION: The protection board is held by a plurality of holders at multiple points, and is stuck on the substrate with the element formed thereon with respective positions of these holders adjusted to the substrate using the hardening resin.
