Variable rate of return debt instrument has principal amount ("principal"), maturity date, term, recurring period, return on principal, and obligations for principal repayme nt during each period, remainder at maturity date, and payment of return at maturity date. Principa l repaid during any period determined with reference to performance of basket of investments. Amount paid at maturity equals principal plus return minus percentage (based on financial benchmark) of sum of principal repayments. Return indeterminable during term. A basket of investments retur n may be increased by inherently leveraged derivative instruments. Debt instrument may be promissory note. Obligations may be from deposit taking institution.
