A communication device 20 is provided with: a counter 205 for counting time; a counter value holding unit 206 for storing the counter value of the counter when a packet addressed to the communication device or a broadcasted packet is received; a packet analysis unit 202 for determining whether the packet is a cycle packet, which is a packet transmitted at regular cycles within the network, and, if the packet is a cycle packet, calculating the difference between the counter value stored by the counter value holding unit and the counter value indicating the original reception time of the cycle packet; and a correction time calculation unit 204 for calculating a correction value for correcting the disparity between the time of the communication device and the time of the device that is the transmission source of the cycle packet.
