<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of diffracted light to be actually used by constituting a polarizing hologram element so that the forming direction of a diffraction grating may be inclined from a direction perpendicular to a substrate plane. <P>SOLUTION: An organic double-refraction film 3 is adhered on a lower substrate 1 with a lower adhesion layer, and the diffraction grating is formed on the surface of the organic double-refraction film 3 by etching. An upper adhesion layer 5 of photosetting resin is packed up to the recessed part of the diffraction grating, and then, an upper substrate 6 is superposed on the layer 5. With half or below the light irradiation energy for the resin being hardened, the part coming in contact with the upper substrate and its vicinity is considerably hardened, but the bottom of the recessed part of the grating and its vicinity are not hardened yet. By slightly moving the upper substrate from the lower substrate in the aforesaid state, the grating is inclined, and then, the final hardening is performed while keeping the grating inclined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
