<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass cap capable of solving the problem of a sandblast method or an etching method, in the forming of a cell part and used for sealing an organic EL element, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: A resist mask is formed on a cell part in a grid-like form and wet etching is carried out. The resist mask is gradually peeled from a glass substrate by side edges of the glass substrate of the base, and a projecting part is formed on the bottom part of the cell part. Thereby, a passage of bubbles can be secured, when the cell part is brought into a vacuum state by deaerating it, even if an inexpensive seal-like adsorbent is fixed; an adsorptive property is improved, and strength is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
