<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for protecting a pedestrian or the like capable of certainly rearwardly deploying an air bag by simple folding of the air bag. <P>SOLUTION: Since a rear deployment part 9 of the air bag is a roll shape wound up to a rear side, a roll release direction after the rear deployment part 9 is pressed to a lower surface of a hood 3 by inflation of an upper deployment part 11 becomes a rearward direction and deployment propulsion force directed to a rear side is generated on the rear deployment part 9. Accordingly, the air bag 5 is certainly rearwardly deployed. Further since the rear deployment part 9 is strongly pressed to the lower surface of the hood 1 by the upper deployment part 11, grip force to the lower surface of the hood 1 is generated and the rear deployment part 9 can be quickly rearwardly deployed in such a state that the lower surface of the hood 1 is certainly kicked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
