Coloring composition (A) in a medium adapted for coloring comprises a precursor of dye and a film forming elastomeric polymer obtained by drying the polymer at ambient temperature and at a rate of relative humidity (55%). Coloring composition (A) in a medium adapted for coloring comprises a precursor of dye and a film forming elastomeric polymer (C) (a film obtained by drying the polymer at ambient temperature and at a rate of relative humidity (55%)), presenting a mechanical profile of: rate of elongation at rupture (sigma r) higher or equal to 800%; instantaneous recovery (Rj) of equal to 75%, after an elongation of 150%; and elongation (R3000) at 300 seconds higher than 80%. An independent claim is also included for a process of coloring keratinous fibers comprising applying (A) on the keratinous fibers in the presence of an oxidizing agent for a period of time to color the keratinous matter.
