<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional display means wherein a recoding medium for a print preview displayed in a display part is only assumed to be white paper, so that when printing is performed on patterned paper, print data displayed on white paper becomes the result displayed on a print preview screen, which is different from an actually avaiable print result. <P>SOLUTION: A paper image obtained by reading paper with an image reader is combined with image data of a bitmap method to be printed so as to display the print preview screen, so as to make it possible to anticipate a print result prior to actual printing on colored or patterned paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
