<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform collated printing of a plurality of copies as designated, using a collated-printing function that a printer has, regardless of the specifications of an application that achieves collated printing through division of one print job into jobs for the number of copies, thereby solving a variety of problems caused by the print job being divided into a plurality of jobs and sent to a printer. <P>SOLUTION: A printer driver 203 of a host computer 3000 counts print request data for printing each of the copies continuously generated by an application program 201 for collated printing, then creates print job data for transmission to a printer that can implement a process for collated printing of a plurality of copies based on either of the print request data, then changes the setting of the count as copy number setting information for the print job data created, then changes the setting of information that validates an instruction for collated printing as collated printing instruction information for the print job data, and sends the print job data to the printer 1500. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
