<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common marmoset-derived glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene as 'a polynucleotide as internal reference that, in assaying the the difference between the expression levels of a desired gene in two or more test samples as the difference between the gene's transcription product amounts, serves as the reference of the expression levels of the gene for correcting the transcription product amounts', being essential in gene expression analysis using an ultrasmall-sized monkey so called common marmoset(Callithrix Jacchus) as a kind of small-sized monkey. <P>SOLUTION: The common marmoset-derived glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene is provided.
