CLOSURE OF CONTAINER, AND DEVICE FOR MOUNTING AND REMOVING THE CLOSURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure of a container used in an analyzer such as a diagnostic analyzer, and a device for removing and mounting the closure.

SOLUTION: The closure of the container has: (a) an inner cylindrical wall having first and second ends to form a space; (b) an outer cylindrical wall opposite to the inner cylindrical wall and having first and second ends to form the external surface of the closure; and (c) a first end wall extending across the first end and including a recess extending at least partially into the space and a first set of threads provided on the recess. The device for removing and mounting the closure of the container includes a threaded rotary spindle to be screwed into the closure with the threaded recess for applying torque to remove the closure and a clutch to engage with the closure for applying the torque to the closure.
