<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is free of the degradation in resolution at the time of displaying images different from each other with respect to a plurality of visual points, a portable apparatus mounted with the same, and a driving method for liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: One display pixel in the liquid crystal display device is comprised of 6 sub pixels in total, a red sub pixel RL for the left eye, green sub pixel GL for the left eye, blue sub pixel BL for the left eye, red sub pixel RR for the right eye, green sub pixel GR for the right eye, and blue sub pixel BR for the right eye. Also, the sub pixels are arranged within a region of a square shape, by arraying two pieces in a transverse direction 12 where a gate line 3 extends and three pieces in a longitudinal direction where a data line 2 extends.
