<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display whose constitution is simple and the thickness is thin, and which is provided with an inexpensive back light which hardly has difference in luminance, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a liquid crystal display panel 300 which includes liquid crystal between an upper plate and a lower plate, an organic EL element 31 which is placed at the bottom part of the lower plate of the liquid crystal display panel and gives light to the liquid crystal display panel 300, and a cap 32 which is bonded at least either the lower plate of the liquid crystal display panel or the substrate of the organic EL element 31, and protects the organic EL element 31. In addition, the organic EL element has a transparent substrate 31a which is placed at the bottom part of the lower plate of the liquid crystal display panel, a first electrode 31b which is formed on the transparent substrate, an organic EL layer 31c which is formed on the first electrode and a second electrode 31d which is formed on the organic EL layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
