摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium from which both the detected signals corresponding to the reproduction control information and the tracking error signals of a push-pull system can be obtained with a sufficient quality when reproducing the reproduction control information from the reproduction-only area formed on a DVD-RW according to the standard.

SOLUTION: This DVD-RW 1 to optically record and reproduce information with servo control of a push-pull system has a recording and reproducing area DA having a meandering groove track continuously formed to record and reproduce information in a phase change system by using an optical beam having a wavelength of ≥630 nm and of ≤680 nm, and a read-only area RA where phase pits are formed meandering in advance with depth of ≥60 nm and of ≤90 nm so that the optical information can only be reproduced.
