<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system, a control method thereof and a program for requesting confirmation to a user when an operation not intended by the user who has required printing is performed. <P>SOLUTION: A situation monitoring unit 101 receives a notification of a cancellation from a printer 110, then a reprinting determining unit 102 determines whether re-printing should be performed or not on the basis of a processing content stored in a setting storage unit 104. If the setting information stored in the storage unit 104 shows that the re-printing should be selected by the user, an operation screen display unit 103 displays a screen for asking the user whether the re-printing should be executed or not, then, the determining unit 102 determines whether to invalidate the notification of the cancellation to perform the re-printing or accepts the notification to cancel the print job. A spool processing unit 105 processes the print job stored in a spool 106 in accordance with the determined content.
