The device has a hook mounted on a chariot comprising two wheels (20). The hook is manipulated by a user using a steering column (11), metallic tubes (6) and a metallic tube assembly (5) to position it at a hooking level. The column and a rotating axle are manipulated by the user to position the hook on a roof crest and a chimney. The user then climbs on the roof by a rope connected to a rope hooking device (40).
