<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion system and an electric drive vehicle, which reduce the number of components and reduce weight and cost of whole devices. <P>SOLUTION: The power conversion system is provided with an inverter 2 having a bridge formed of a plurality of switching elements connected in series, a DC voltage part 1 connected to a DC-side, an electromotor 3 connected to a connection point of the switching elements, a diode bridge 6 whose DC-side is connected to the DC voltage part 1 and a battery 5 in which anodes are connected to negative potential points of the DC voltage part, for example, and positive potential points are connected to neutral points of the electromotor 3 directly or through a switch part or a passive element. An AC power supply is connected to an AC-side of the diode bridge 6, and the battery 5 is charged by substantially setting current flowing in the electromotor 3 to be only zero-phase current by a switching operation of the switching element of the inverter 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
