<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic door driving device enabling even a weak person such as an old person or a physically disabled person to easily open/close a sliding door by hand. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic door driving device 1 comprises a drive mechanism 2 for opening/closing the sliding door D, stretches a wire 8 across a driving pulley 6 and a driven pulley 7, fixes a connection fitting 9 fixed to the wire 8, to the sliding door D, and rotates the driving pulley 7 by a motor 4 to obtain the driving force of the sliding door D. A motor shaft 4a of the motor 4 is connected to a rotating shaft 6a of the driving pulley 6 by a selective transmission mechanism 3.
