<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a color filter which shows superior characteristics at enlarging a viewing angle from an inclined direction by optimal retardation compensation in each pixel with high productivity, and further, to provide the color filter manufactured with this method and a liquid crystal display equipped with the color filter manufactured, using such a method. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter is manufactured by a step of forming partition walls on a substrate; a step of forming retardation layers corresponding to each retardation of two or more colored pixel patterns, having a prescribed retardation to be formed afterward by application between partition walls; and a step of forming two or more colored pixel patterns, having prescribed retardation on the retardation layers, particularly, with a photolithographic method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
