Disclosed is an electronic lighting device for use in vehicle lighting wherein the electronic lighting device is mounted within a chassis pole. Also disclosed is a chassis pole for mounting on a vehicle, wherein the chassis pole includes the lighting device, and a method of providing lighting to a vehicle, wherein the method includes mounting at least one chassis pole to the vehicle chassis and connecting the lighting device to the electronic circuitry of the vehicle via the chassis pole.
