An optical pickup device is provided to detect an optical signal more accurately by minimizing an error in assembling the laser diode. An optical pickup device comprises first and second laser diode assemblies(20,30) installed on one side of a pickup base(10). The fist and second laser diode assemblies include diode chips(25,35), chip mounts(23,33) to which the diode chips are electrically connected, and diode holders(21,31) in which the diode chips and the chip mounts are fixed. The diode chips generate laser light. The diode holder has an installation opening(22) inside. |
