<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional power converter for suppressing voltage unbalance of respective capacitors of a plurality of cell power modules. <P>SOLUTION: The bidirectional power converter converting power supplied in a power running direction from an input side to an output side and power supplied in a regeneration direction from the output side to the input side is provided with a birectional power conversion part where a plurality of cell power modules having input side single phase inverters, output side single phase inverters and capacitors arranged between the two single phase inverters are connected in series so as to constitute a phase and three phases are disposed with a neutral point as a center, with an inter-phase balance control part 30 which variably controls phase voltages of the respective phases while inter-line voltages among the three phases are balanced, and an intra-phase balance control part 31 which variably controls voltages of the respective capacitors of the cell power modules while phase voltages of the respective phases are maintained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
