PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the unevenness of a surface of a display device which is caused by the mixing of air bubbles.SOLUTION: A display device 1 includes: a protective film 13 attached to a surface of at least one of a first insulating substrate 10 and a second insulating substrate 20, which corresponds to a display surface; and an adhesive material 12 to be used to attach the protective film 13 to the display surface. The display surface includes a display area 3 where an image is displayed, and a peripheral area 4 to surround the display area 3. The adhesive material 12 includes a first adhesive part 121 surrounding the display area 3 in the peripheral area 4 so that the adhesive material 12 is discontinuous in at least one intermittent part 123, and a second adhesive part 122 provided in the peripheral area 4 with a space from the first adhesive part 121 and the intermittent part 123 on the inside or the outside and adjacent to the intermittent part 123 along the entire length of the intermittent part 123.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
