A vehicular camera system includes an imager assembly that can include an imager disposed on an imager circuit board and a lens positioned to direct light to the imager. A main circuit board is operatively connected to the imager circuit board. The main circuit board can include at least one processor for processing images captured by the imager. The main circuit board has an opening, and at least a portion of the imager assembly extends through the opening.

1. A vehicular camera system, comprising:
an imager assembly including an imager disposed on an imager circuit board and a lens positioned to direct light to the imager; a main circuit board operatively connected to the imager circuit board, the main circuit board including at least one processor for processing images captured by the imager; the main circuit board having a first side and a second side an comprising circuitry disposed at the first side and circuitry disposed at the second side; wherein the main circuit board in includes an opening therethrough, and wherein, with the imager assembly disposed at the main circuit board, at least a portion of the imager assembly extends at least partially through the opening of the main circuit board; wherein with the imager assembly disposed at the main circuit board, the imager and the lens are disposed at the first side of the main circuit board; and wherein a flexible connector is electrically connected to circuitry of the imager circuit board, and wherein the flexible connector passes through the opening of the main circuit board to electrically connect to circuitry disposed at the second side of the main circuit board.
