a wireless local area network interface (“wireless LAN I/F”) that performs direct wireless communication with an external apparatus; a memory that stores instructions; and a processor that executes the instructions to:
determine whether or not a specific security function is enabled in the communication apparatus when the communication apparatus receives, from a user, an execution instruction of the direct wireless communication, andcontrol the wireless LAN I/F to execute the direct wireless communication by temporarily disabling the specific security function in a case where it is determined that the specific security function is enabled in the communication apparatus.
