The processor may execute the method, including detecting, by a sensor, heart rate information while providing a content of the electronic device, determining, by a processor, an emotional quotient based on the detected heart rate information, and mapping the determined emotional quotient to the provided content.

1. A method in an electronic device, comprising:
receiving, by a communication module of the electronic device, a heart rate information of a user of the electronic device from an external electronic device operatively coupled to the electronic device during a duration when the user of the electronic device performs a call with a user of another electronic device, wherein the heart rate information of the user is detected using a first sensor of the external electronic device; determining, by a processor of the electronic device, an emotional quotient of the user by calculating an average of numerical values representing emotional quotients corresponding to the heart rate information detected during the duration; and mapping the determined emotional quotient to a provided content.
