<p>A method for producing minerals of reduced particle size and increased brightness, particularly high grade coating clays employing a hard, abrasive grinding medium following a pretreatment of magnetic separation is disclosed. Coating clays are prepared by the delamination of stack-like particles contained in magnetically extracted coarser clays employing a hard, abrasive grinding medium and high intensity grinding techniques.</p> |
