A method of fastening teeth 3 in a saw tool blade 1 comprises making in the blade a first and second series of slots 2, 4 extending inwardly of the blade edge, and forcibly wedging a tooth 3 into each of the first slots, the second slots allowing deformation of the blade in the plane of the blade. The walls of the first slots are formed as opposed V's for engaging complementary V-grooves in the edges of the teeth 3 which can be inserted in the slots by way of openings 8 at the roots of the slots . The slots 4 enable the saw blade 1 to be elastically deformed so that the teeth are gripped by the walls of the slots 2. The slots are tapered and the teeth are wedge-shaped and of greater thickness than the blade.</p> |
