1400627 Balanced drawing tables FRANZ KULHMANN KG PRAZISIONSMECHANIK UND MASCHINENBAU 11 Oct 1972 [11 Oct 1971] 46922/72 Heading A4U A drawing table has a board 18 mounted on links 4, 10, 15 for adjustment about a horizontal axis 2 on a stand 1 and automatically balanced in any vertical position by a spring 32 connected to one end of a cable 29 passing around a spiral groove 23a in a disc 23 rotatably mounted on the axis such that the point of action of the spring automatically varies as the disc 23 rotates about the axis when the board is moved. The position of the disc 23 about the axis and hence the distance of the point of action of the spring from the axis being adjustable when the board is stationary. Tilting of the board is automatically balanced by connecting link 15 to a displacable lever 16 which is acted upon by two tension springs 21 connected to a plate 22 pivotally mounted on the stand 1. |
