Anchorage plugs for lining cylindrical holes to secure wood screws, bolts etc. where the plugs feature annular fins and where the plug body is formed by a pair of similar shells each the same length as the complete plug. Pref. the plug incorporates an ancillary stud which has a series of grooves around its core which are engaged by ribs on the inside of the hollow plug as the two shells are brought togheter. The stud has a threaded head standing proud of the anchored body. For anchoring screws with a tapered thread profiles, the ribs inside the hollow plug shells pref. get deeper towards the bottom of the plug. Pref. the shells are joined either by a flexible bridge or by small probe and hole couplings when mating two independently moulded shells. Offers greater scope for profile design variations on both the outside and the inside of the plug body than plugs moulded as a single hollow cylindrical body.
|
