Pref. the two layers of material comprising the handle are welded together at >=1 end as well as along the sides, pref. completely round both. Pref. bags are successively cut and sealed complete with handles in a single operation from folded or tubular thermoplastic film. pref. with adjacent handles head to tail for min. wastage. The double layer for the handle may be provided by extending and folding one face of the bag instead of both body panels.
