[Also in Divisions B2 C2 C3 and D1] Natural and synthetic materials such as paper, textiles, metal, wood and leather may be adhered together using as an adhesive a composition which cures to form a polymer on contact with water, the composition comprising an oxazolidine or a tetrahydro-oxazine and a polyisocyanate (see Division C3). In examples, cotton broadcloth/cotton broadcloth laminates were prepared by applying the adhesive in dot pattern to one of the pieces of fabric, pressing the second fabric on to the adhesive side of the first fabric, drying and then curing the adhesive at 65% relative humidity.</p> |
