Ind waste water treatment - using electrolytic cell esp for extraction of cyanides

Between the principal parallel plate electrodes forming two side walls of the cell are a number of rows of parallel bar auxiliary electrodes which increase the effective area of the electrochemical active surface so that the voltage applied can be reduced giving higher efficiency due to reduction of gases. The bars are esp. alternated C for the extraction of the cyanide, and a metal alloy which dissolves electrically the hydroxide of its own metals, for the extraction of heavy metal ions. They are supported in an open box structure.
