An electric welding machine supplied with welding current via a flexable cable from a separate transformer, for welding the raised edges of plates, th edges being held between pairs of rotating welding wheels as in parent patent. The appts. being simplified by driving the welding wheels of >=1 pair in rotation at a peripheral speed = that of the drive rollers.
