Welding electrode - for cast iron with metallic core and surface layer of metal with high electrical conductivity

Welding electrode consists of a metallic core and a layer of an alloy with a high electrical conductivity placed on the core. Used for welding cast iron. The electrode can be used with a.c. or d.c. without overheating. Gives weld deposits with a modular structure. Pref. the layer consists of Cu or Ag and is 0.013-0.019 mm thick.
