1. A combustion system, comprising:
a charge element configured to be disposed proximate to a combustion reaction; an electrical node configured for electrical continuity with the charge element; and a current limiting element disposed to convey the electrical continuity from the electrical node to the charge element and to limit current flow between the electrical node and the charge element; wherein the charge element is configured as a combustion reaction support surface; wherein the combustion reaction is driven to a first voltage; wherein the electrical node is held at a second voltage that is different from the first voltage; and wherein the combustion reaction support surface is configured to anchor the combustion reaction responsive to a current flow from the combustion reaction to the charge element.
