<p>Injectable aqueous alpha-aescin solutions having a pH value of 4.0-5.5, contg. as stabilizer nicotinamide in a concentration of >0.5% (pref. up to 5%). It has previously been proposed (DT 1792341) to stabilize alpha-aescin solutions with water-soluble theophylline or theobromine derivatives, but since these substances in many cases have circulatory activity the therapeutic utility of the stabilized solutions is to some extent limited. However, the theophylline or theobromine derivatives can be replaced by nicotinamide, which also inhibits the formation of alpha-aescin micelles and therefore effects a marked stabilization of the alpha-aescin solutions.</p> |
