Ceramics tunnel kiln - with closed loop path charge trays

The installation comprises a continuous tunnel kiln through which are pushed on the floor sliding platforms with the charge. At either end of the kiln are transverse tracks which are interconnected by a return track running parallel to the kiln to permit the platforms to describe a closed loop path. On the return track is a loading and unloading station. Suitable pushing devices for the platforms are provided. The return track pref. includes a cooling and a preheating tunnel section. The equipment is intended for the firing of ceramics within a relatively short sequence time.
