Inorg fungicides - contg iodine and/or alkali iodides

Title compsns. are very effective against deuteromycetes such as Botrytis spp. on plants, and use readily available active ingredients which are non-toxic to warm-blooded animals. They should be applied as soon as the first signs of disease occur, and application can be repeated between 15 and 5 days before harvesting. The iodine and/or alkali iodides can be used in combination with other known fungicides, giving synergistic effects.
