Enamel smelting furnace - of simplified construction and long working life

The furnace has a furnace bottom and a delivery tongue which take the form of an air chamber. The cover of the chamber comprising the furnace bottom consists of a single steel plate in contact at is upper surface with the enamel and which has coolant fins projecting from its bottom side into the air chamber. The chamber itself is formed by side walls from which the coolant fins protrude outwards, and has internal partitions in which offset openings constitute a serpentine-like positive flow path for guiding the coolant air.
