The Al component of the alloy powder can be replaced by Zn, Cd or Si. In an example a 70/30 Ni - Al alloy powder is coated with 10-20% Ag and mixed with 50% weight Ag coated Ni powder. After hot pressing in H 2 at 500-800‹C, the Al which has diffused into the Ag is dissolved in hot KOH. |
