The continuously variable transmission is further provided with: a meshing determination unit that determines whether the grooves have meshed with the movable teeth; and an abnormality determination unit that determines that an abnormality has occurred in at least one of the movable teeth, the impelling part, and the band, when a transmission gear ratio reaches a prescribed transmission gear ratio at which the grooves mesh with the movable teeth, and the meshing determination unit has determined that the grooves have not meshed with the movable teeth. |
