Water hydraulic circuit for press operation - powered by oil hydraulic pressure

On the working stroke of the press, a pump delivers oil to one half of a pressure vessel which has a flexible membrane across the middle, thereby compressing the water in the other half to perform the working stroke on the press. By switching a valve, the oil is allowed to return from the pressure vessel to storage and the water returns from the press. Relatively small pipes can be used on the water circuit, and there is no contamination from oil in the working area. The oil circuit can be sited away from the dirt of the working area.
