1360499 Printing cellulose with reactive dyes FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 25 Aug 1971 [27 Aug 1970] 39847/71 Addition to 1281080 Heading D1B The invention comprises producing resist effects with reactive dyes under other reactive dyes on flat surface textile materials made of natural or regenerated cellulose materials by printing in any order with a paste containing a non-volatile organic or inorganic acid or an acid salt as a reserving agent and a reactive dye which can be fixed according to a two phase cold-dwelling or two-phase rapid fixing process for reactive dye and applying in overlapping manner a further printing paste or padding liquor containing an alkali as fixing agent and another reactive dye which cannot be fixed by the above process and after drying the material fixation of the dyes is effected by steaming in combination with one of the above two phase fixing processes these being added to the acid reserving agent and more reactive dyestuff on organic alkylating agent. Alternatively the alkylating agent may be applied with acid reserving agent only the mixture of dyes being applied in a further print paste.
