The title cpd. and its pharmacologically tolerable salts, specifically the formate, are now. They have improved activity against murine leukaemia L1210, including its 6-mercaptopurine-reisitant subline, than similar known cpds. The pref. dehydrating agent is POCl3 in DMF; reaction mixt. is worked up on an acid column eluting prod. with 0.5 M pyridinium formate.
