<p>The upper, outer portion of the telescopic front forks of a light motor cycle has bands around ti, or longitudinal corrugations or grooves for decorative effect, so as to conceal the markings resulting from the final forming operations on the aluminium alloy tube. In this way, polished portions may alternate with matt portions. Alternatively, contrasting colours may be used for decorative effect either applied as paint or as a plastics coating or sleeve.</p> |
